Technology Intelligence and Responsible AI Lab

Overview:

The lab investigates how emerging technologies evolve, how they are adopted in business and society, and how AI can be made trustworthy.

The major research directions include, but are not limited to, the following:

1) Technology Intelligence: Mapping and forecasting innovation trajectories, technological convergence, and opportunities through patent analytics, large language models (LLM), and machine learning (ML), with a focus on sustainability and long-term societal impact.

2) Responsible AI: Developing and evaluating explainable AI (XAI) techniques that assess the interpretability of AI and ML models across business and societal applications and promoting the responsible and ethical use of AI.

3) Techno-Anthropology: Assessing the intertwined nature of emerging technologies and society. Research areas: technology assessment, user-driven design, and collaborative problem-solving.
